The Mt. Summit Challenge is a grueling 3.5 mile
(run/walk) race starting at the Hopwood Fire Station. The race ascends up the
National Road (Route 40) and finishes at the historic Summit Inn Hotel. With the elevation changing from 1160 to 2400
feet, this race is one of the toughest races in Pennsylvania. Oh yea, this race will make your quads scream
for mercy! But not to threat, the
accomplishment of completing the race is worth the pain.
