Race Date: June 27th, 2010
It was a great day for the YMCA and a great day for Uniontown! With the threat of storms rolling thru early in the morning, the weather cleared up and made for a fantastic event at the second annual YMCA triathlon. The temperature was in the mid 70s by the start of the race, but quickly heated up to the mid 80s with high humidity.
We can't thank our volunteers and sponsors enough for making this event possible!
Hopefully the round of applause at the awards ceremony was proof of the athlete's
appreciation for your support! We would also like to thank, PennDOT, South Union
township, and Georges Township for giving us permission to host this event; as well as,
the Pennsylvania State Police who are very instrumental in helping control traffic.

This year's event had a new transition area, in the main parking lot and debuted our bicycle racks. In additional to the TA, we extended the bicycle course by 1 mile, just to add another hill to the course, ha ha! Seriously, we had some difficulties at the turn-a-round last year, and decided it was best to extend the course to the top of the hill.
Derek Clark of Morgantown returned to defend and Conquer his title while Jen Sober of Oakland, Md claimed the women's title.
